Teachers at Princess Margaret are so fantastic. They are a mere step down from being referred to as gods. We should look up to them and praise them because, as they often tell us, they know everything. They spend their nights deciding which piece of knowledge to shower upon us each day, not because they have nothing better to do, but because they know what's best. Any student would swim across a sea of thumb tacks just to bask in the glory of their accomplishments. Average people who have not attended this fine facility would see some of our teachers as senile and some of them as just plainly inexperienced. A day at princess Margaret though, would show those people that we are blessed with the greatest teachers to ever walk the stars of the milky way. Our teachers are not senile, they are so full of wisdom their brains hurt and it makes them go a bit crazy. Their yelling is just to improve what we call our very best. The younger teachers are not as simple minded as they seem to be. Time after time they have explained to us that they went to a special place with lots of books and computers to gain their knowledge; and here at princess Margaret we trust in what they tell us. The incredible instructors here believe in tormenting us, they say it makes us stronger. They are just so smart.

Mrs. Robinson by Simon and Garfunkel

There are lots of examples of songs that can also be looked at as poems; one of these songs would be Mrs. Robinson by Simon and Garfunkel. There are many poetic devices in this song that state my case. The whole song is an example of an ode, it is written in tribute to someone, to Mrs. Robinson. The song contains allusion in the seventh stanza referring to Joe DiMaggio but this is also an example of symbolism, it explains that at the time the nation was looking for someone to look up to but all of their role models had disappeared. There is also many examples of onomatopoeia in this song like in the line "Coo, coo, ca-choo, Mrs. Robinson".  The song also contains examples of alliterations one of which was in the line "Sitting on a sofa on a Sunday afternoon". Also in the song the writer uses examples of figurative language which is not meant to be taken literally, one of these examples would be "Look around you, all you see are sympathetic eyes".
Mrs. Robinson by Simon and Garfunkel

And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson
Jesus loves you more than you will know (Wo, wo, wo)
God bless you please, Mrs. Robinson
Heaven holds a place for those who pray
(Hey, hey, hey...hey, hey, hey)

We'd like to know a little bit about you for our files
We'd like to help you learn to help yourself
Look around you, all you see are sympathetic eyes
Stroll around the grounds until you feel at home

And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson
Jesus loves you more than you will know (Wo, wo, wo)
God bless you please, Mrs. Robinson
Heaven holds a place for those who pray
(Hey, hey, hey...hey, hey, hey)

Hide it in a hiding place where no one ever goes
Put it in your pantry with your cupcakes
It's a little secret, just the Robinsons' affair
Most of all, you've got to hide it from the kids

Coo, coo, ca-choo, Mrs Robinson
Jesus loves you more than you will know (Wo, wo, wo)
God bless you please, Mrs. Robinson
Heaven holds a place for those who pray
(Hey, hey, hey...hey, hey, hey)

Sitting on a sofa on a Sunday afternoon
Going to the candidates debate
Laugh about it, shout about it
When you've got to choose
Ev'ry way you look at it, you lose

Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio
A nation turns its lonely eyes to you (Woo, woo, woo)
What's that you say, Mrs. Robinson
Joltin' Joe has left and gone away
(Hey, hey, hey...hey, hey, hey)

Forbidden Love

He didn't ask for any trouble, George was just in the barn minded the horses when in walked the only woman on the farm. He was instantly drawn to her like a fat kid is to cake. He was immediately head over heels in love. Just by looking in her eyes he knew she felt the same way, she was swept off her feet.
"Oh George,"sighed Candy's wife," you're just the bee's knees."
George quickly responded,"You are the best thing since sliced bread."
"I think I love you George,"stated Candy's wife.
"BITE YOUR TONGUE!"said George sternly,"Someone might hear you."
"Look into your heart George,"said Candy's wife,"I know you feel the same way."
"I know, you drive me crazy."
Candy's wife questions,"Why can't we be together then, why not?"
"You can't just put Candy on the back burner."
"He is as dumb as a door knob, as thick as a brick,"said Candy's wife,"he would never even know."
George snaps back,"What do you want me to do, just throw in the towel; just hit the road?"
"Yes, but i'm coming with you"
"Alright, but we better go now,"said George.

Lenny: from book to film

In the film Of Mice and Men there is a character that goes by the name of Lenny. As you watch the film you understand that he is a large man, not very bright, and cannot necessarily remain out of trouble. While reading the novel Of Mice and Men by Jon Steinbeck Lenny's character seems more strongly portrayed with these characteristics; he seems described as larger, and definitely less bright then in the movie. I believe that the writers and producers of the film did their best to mimic the portrayal of the characters in the book. In the book Lenny is said to be a very mountainous person especially compared to George, he said to tower over him and they describe him as huge. Once watching the film you start to see that Lenny is not much bigger in comparison to George or any other character really. In the film Lenny seems as if he would be able to solve small, simple problems. It seems as if he may have some knowledge and could figure out daily things. But as many readers of the book may have noticed Lenny is seen as a person that would not be able to comprehend even the simplest of tasks or answer the easiest of questions. I think the producers tried their best to copy the characters from the book exactly but did not get the feel for them as you would if you took the time to sit down and read the novel from beginning to end.

Patricia and Forrest

“Why,” asked Patricia, “why can’t you just wash your feet?”
Forrest replied, “They make me smell manlier, obviously.”
“But they absolutely reek and I have to wake up to that horrid smell every single morning,” exclaimed Patricia.
“I don’t care!”
Patricia screamed back, “They stink so bad, they’re making my nostrils bleed.”
“Patricia,” stated Forest, “you are just going to have to except the fact that my feet will never be washed again, your screaming and ranting wont help the situation.”
“You either wash your feet or we are over and I’m leaving,” said Patricia.
“Fine have a good life; it’s just me and my feet now.”

My superpower you ask?

Choosing the ultimate superpower would be thought to many people as easy. This comes across as not such an easy endeavor for me, it involves singling out every other known power. If I had to make the choice and choose the unsurpassable power it would have to be the ability to morph. I would have the capability to change my shape, transform into anything, and even make the transition from human to a god. I would be able to out wit anyone or anything, suddenly change and leave the illusion that I have disappeared when in actuality I have just changed. I would be able to instantly change into something desperately needed, like a fire truck or a ladder when danger is in the midst; I would be able to save lives, sometimes directly and sometimes just through a chain reaction. Feelings of contentment would fill me to the brim knowing that I could provide a service to people that could possibly save lives. At that though I would never expect anything in return, attempting to reward my doings would be unsuccessful. Having people feel immense gratitude or just sheer happiness would be enough, seeing the smiles on the faces of the rescued and the happy tears rolling down the cheeks of the almost harmed. Think of the intense power a regular human being would feel if one day, one simple day, they woke up to find they could unexpectedly change. Their form would become another and back to their original, they would be able to jump from human to an inanimate object faster then light. Although, put this kind of power into the hands of the uncertain and horrible circumstances could arise, this ability could be used for trickery and dishonesty. Holding this power could lead to disasters occurring every which way. No matter, bad things or good, this ability would be my chosen power.
